I sort of knew what the word 'parallax' meant, but not well enough to use it myself, and when I read your sentence, I realized I had probably never heard it used conversationally before. And I would still not be able to compose half a dozen sentences that put the word into context.

Would you and anyone else who can mind educating me by throwing a few more sentences out using the word 'parallax'?

Is someone going to complain about where I put that question mark?
