Corrigan has said that LSI is designing "something significant" for PSII after it was announced that Toshiba would do CPU + Graphics back near end of last year. I think everybody was wondering what that chip would be. The CPU + graphics would have been sweeter, but we knew we lost that one early.

IMO, I take this as neutral. Until we see more about PSII to judge whether it would be a winner like PSI, hard to tell.

The Sony-LSI deal is a major break through for LSI marketing and sales. This was not expected by the street (with the exceptionof Gruntle). In my humble opinion this is "the" deal LSI needed for its business (and consequently) its stock to start flying high big time.
