JP, Thanks for the kind words. I basically agree with your comment about unwarranted market fears impacting IM. There does however, appear to be some legitimate concern regarding margin impact due to intense price competition. I'm betting that the situation lightens up a bit now that the holiday season is over. The end-of-year incentives should not be as much of and issue.

As far as weakening PC sales are concerned, well I believe the stock price has already factored in a negative scenario. I think the outlook for PCs would have to show a serious pull-back from here before IM would move much more to the down side. In addition, perhaps the possibilities related to Y2K will lend some price support.

There's no doubt about it, "fear" has slammed IM. At these prices I expect a more powerful force to emerge and put fear in its place: "greed." Geez, that sounds bad. Let me re-phrase: "The opportunity to earn a significant amount of money through wise and timely investing." <g>

Regards - Dale

JP, It certainly appears the news out of TECD is helping IM today. Perhaps if and when we can get some additional confirmation out of IM that the price wars are indeed over and margins are stable, then we can begin the steady move back up.
