There is no such thing as short term options on LEAPs. You can buy
either short-term options OR leaps on an underlying equity.

i am not sure I understand exactly what you are asking; the cboe site gives you all the options available on a particular stock (assuming the stock has options, medmedia.com; from their site (www.cboe.com), you can probably get an educational package from them on what options area and the differences between varies options. leaps are just longer term options which typically expire in january such as (jan 2000) or (jan 2001). Some people buy the leap as a substitute for the stock, since there is very less time decay on the leap and then write a shorter option against the stock.

LEAPS are options but of much longer duration. So, you cannot buy options on LEAPS - if I understand correctly what you want to do. An underlying stock can have both LEAPS and options. Lists of both can be gotten from www.cboe.com.
