<<These are very puzzling comments from Ericy in regard to a technology which they say can't work and even if it can in some weak way, it is so late to market it is doomed. Etc etc...>>

Ericy's most recent comments seem to indicate that they've seen the CDMA light. I say let's resolve the details and get on with the business of making huge amounts of money for both companies. The continuing squabble has run it's course and a continuation will likely have negative economic ramifications for both parties. Ericy needs CDMA; Qcom could benefit greatly from Ericy's international presence and influence. IBM, Lucent and other major companies have almost made it part of their mission statement to promise future products or benefits that they know they likely won't be able to deliver, in order to create FUD and delay customer orders going to competitors. Ericy's played the same game but, perhaps, moved the boundaries out a little further. Any energy used by either company to exact a pound of flesh as punishment for past sins is wasted energy. The time to reap the fruit is now. I hope they resolve the details soon and start filling their (and my) bushel baskets.

Regards.

Actually, Maurice, the product is WD-40. WD stands for Water Displacement. The guy that invented it did so for the Atlas Rocket program back in the cold war days of the 1950's. The Rockets are made from Stainless Steel sheets. They required a coating to prevent moisture from corroding the vehicle. At that time the rockets were being made to sit in missile silo's for a very long time and needed some protection. They guy that invented the formula, never patented it. And it turned to his advantage since no one has been able to duplicate it and therefore does not have any real competition for his market niche. We still use WD-40 today for coating the Atlas vehicle, now being built in San Diego, CA & Denver, CO.
