Chris--tell you what---you go back and read this thread from the beginning---and after you have educated yourself as to the content and breadth and depth of the discussions about God, religion, mythology, and the Bible, and familiarized yourself with the minds and feelings and beliefs of the extremely bright and erudite people here, who have already expressed themselves far more cogently than you thus far, then maybe-just maybe- you would be qualified to post some of your stunningly ignorant and presumptuous accusations about the unendurable plague of unbelief here.
Sadly, we already know you won't take the time to do this, or to learn anything about us, for you have only one agenda as a self-appointed savior to the ignorant unwashed. We have always been polite and tried to discuss issues with everyone---but it's getting like the darn Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormon missionaries who knock so persistently on our front door around here. We'll just have to say---"No, thank you" and slam the thread in your face; life is too short to keep trying to have discussions with determinedly closed minds.
So I'll join Steve in the lock-out; no more please.

Chris go peddle your lies elsewhere. People on this thread aren't lost like you are. You just show your ignorance by your unwanted sermons.
There are many other threads on religion if that is your cup of tea.

LOL- we've talked about God and Gods a lot. We are equally amazed at people able to shut down their critical thinking and accept something purely on belief. There are billions of people on this planet and a majority of them "believe" they are on a path to salvation of one kind or another- but guess what? They all disagree over the true path. So how on earth can you be so certain you are on the right one? I can understand someone saying "Well, I took my best guess..." or "This one just appealed to me..." but y'all gotta see that we who are undecided are just rational, we aren't bitter, just bemused.

Look, CL, please get the message. Even those of us who are religious do not appreciate being harangued by self-appointed preachers.

I live in NYC and when trapped on a subway with one of the people who feel compelled to preach at strangers, I am furious. They are interrupting my private prayer.

I feel the same way about this unwelcome carrying on in which you have been indulging. Actions speak louder than words, so stop yapping and wasting time and go out and do some good for someone.

And do not post to me.

Chris, buddy, get a grip.

I believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
and of all things visible and invisible;

And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only begotten Son of God,
begotten of his Father before all worlds,
God of God, Light of Light,
very God of very God,
begotten, not made,
being of one substance with the Father;
by whom all things were made;
who for us men and for our salvation
came down from heaven,
and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost
of the Virgin Mary,
and was made man;
and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered and was buried;
and the third day he rose again
according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of the Father;
and he shall come again, with glory,
to judge both the quick and the dead;
whose kingdom shall have no end.

And I believe in the Holy Ghost the Lord, and Giver of Live,
who proceedeth from the Father [and the Son];
who with the Father and the Son together
is worshipped and glorified;
who spake by the Prophets.

And I believe one holy Catholic and Apostolic Church;
I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins;
and I look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. AMEN.

OK? I suspect it probably isn't ok, if you are proselytizing me and assuming (falsely) that I don't believe, then you probably don't think Catholics are saved. Do me a favor, and go away now.
