SSE actually REDUCES 3D visual quality!!!

"This is getting kinda suspicious. I think a few days ago I linked to this post from Anand's BBS which purported to show that on one of the P3 benchmarks, the visual quality drops when SSE optimization is turned on. The review of the Pentium III at this page seems to continue this suggeston. In both pairs of images, the visual quality takes a dive when SSE is turned on, notably on the ground texture. This particular problem reportedly manifests itself in the Dispatched demo made by Rage Software, I'm told. Now, SSE is a very cool instruction addon to the PIII, but if this is true, then ... well then, I'm very disappointed!"
