If you real want to get in this stock use the way I get in a lot of them. I buy at the open on a market order but only half of what I want to buy. Then if it keeps rising I just sit with the half I have and I am in a stock that's going up. If it dips at say 9:45 some then I buy the second half and then I sit tight. Look at yesterday. It opened at 1 1/2 and people didn't want to pay the gap up. It dopped for only a brief few minutes before it was above 1 1/2 and on it's way to 2. The MM's didn't seem to fill limit orders on the drop either. I know a few people who had limit orders that didn't get filled and they are pissed now.
YOu can always place a limit order above where it looks like it is going to open. Say the gap up is to 2 3/4 (where I think it wil be) then place the order at 2 7/8. That way you should get it and the MM's can't gap it up to over 3 and fill you and then drop it back down. These are both strategies I use when plying these small fast rising companies that i want to get in on.
