Internet Telephony Gateway Software For Under $30

March 5, 1999

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA:
Quicknet Technologies has taken the wraps
off a low-density H.323-compliant Internet
telephony application, called the Internet
Switchboard.

The unique selling point of the package is its
price -- it sells for $29.95. Yet, despite its
low price point, the product has the power
and flexibility of much more expensive
applications, albeit with a low call density
ratio.

Stacey Reineccius, the firm's president, said
that, with the Internet SwitchBoard, the
company is allowing its customers to gain the
performance and flexibility of high end
systems for a low end price.

"We offer H.323 Internet Telephony systems
that provide an unmatched feature set for an
equally unmatched price point," he said,
adding that, with the software, users of the
firm's Internet LineJack and Internet
PhoneJack can now take advantage of a
range of Voice over IP (Internet Protocol)
capabilities that have been previously
beyond the reach of small businesses and
individuals.

According to Quicknet, the Internet
SwitchBoard package provides the high
performance, high quality audio and flexible
H.323 based Voice over IP capabilities
designed specifically for use in small office
and personal applications.

The software has a wide array of features,
including integrated H.323 support using
hardware based audio compression and
support for Web800 calling.

The Web800 feature, allows businesses
to speak with visitors to
their Web site. According to the firm,
through the addition of a free hyperlink on
the Web site, which can be customized for
the business' own phone system, visitors can
call from the Web into an existing phone
system and be automatically routed to the
correct person or department.
