Bid.Com's slogan is worth a fortune. It can cut down their advertising cost by 90% on Television and in newspapers across Canada and in the United States and Europe. Their slogan, SHOP NAKED, like the word SEX is an attention grabber. Bid.Com wouldn't need one minute of advertising before the National News, during the Hockey Night in Canada or a slot on the Grammies. With that slogan, all they would need is 5 seconds to grab everyone's attention. The same with Newspaper ads across Canada and the United States. They could draw the attention in the newspaper with only a small ad instead of a more expensive, large one. i.e.
SHOP NAKED
CANADA'S #1 INTERNET AUCTION
BID.COM
bid.com
All they need is blow up the size of SHOP NAKED and BID.COM, throw a double border around it and you could keep this ad to a small size. This would be cheaper and draw attention.

Sili, with regard to the well laid out plan that you speak of I'm wondering just what this really is. I myself am a little confused as to just what Bid.com's plan is. Is it auction? Is it auction in Europe? Is it auction in the US? Is it something about business to business commerce? Is it something about Interactive TV? It seems to me that every time Godin or Jeff L. gives an interview it's always something new on the horizon. Just what is the message and plan really? Help.

Sili,

Excellent points. If anyone is long on this company now is not the time to sell. As to date they have kept every one of their company plans.
Take for example that new auction company BIDN. Day traded to 14 1/2 this week and that was prior to their first auction. That happened on hype alone. BII actually has some substance, some growth, and a plan. On my last three major investments I sold out too early. RIM, BIT, and BLD. I'm not making the same mistake this time. To quote Crazy Canuck "I ain't partin with mine." Not yet anyway. This stability is allowing me to sleep sound at night.
