Tight tech-labor market? - from Usatoday.com:

Report: Tech companies face worker shortages

WASHINGTON - U.S. technology companies are growing faster than their
workforce and 70% of companies are having trouble finding computer
programmers, system analysts and network workers, according to a new
PricewaterhouseCoopers survey. The company says the current shortfall represents a 12.8% deficit in information technology staffing spread across all fast-growing technology businesses. The lack of IT workers is significant because companies with worker shortages have been growth standouts, with a revenue gain of 25.2% in 1998. The survey also found that almost 55% of businesses with a deficit of IT workers are forming education and training alliances with colleges and technical or business schools.
