Your argument for Jesus is far from compelling. Perhaps you can work on that and come up with a more convincing argument for Jesus.

I don't think anybody has ever been argued into a religious conversion. The process of argument involves the submission of demonstrable evidence and construction of a logical process, and this does not lend itself to the promotion of what must be a spiritual and emotional process. This is why I dislike argument over religion: nobody is convinced and a great deal of bad feeling is generated, which does nobody any good. Discussion of religion is another matter altogether: it can be extremely rewarding and pleasant, as the recent talk on this board shows. The difference is that in a discussion everybody grants the possibility that the other person might be right. The moment one person turns "I believe" into "I know", discussion ends, argument begins, and I - having finally learned a few things from this thread - bail out.
