Hey BM. I'd like to respond to that. Cause I think he was responding to my comment.

It doesn't say at all $100/year. One should wonder WHY, in all the previous news releases about outsourcing contracts, did CGI ALWAYS stated the size of the contract but THIS TIME, it's not mentioned?

If you look at todays Gazette, an article indicates that CGI will end-up with 500 (Bell Mobility) employees. You can be sure that they would not hire 500 new people with an undermined contract size. Variables are always defined before CGI can say "Yep, this is profitable to us and to the customer!". Just in salaries and benefits you can calculate about $35 to $40 million a year. And this is a 10 year contract. If we do the math, that's $350 to $400 in wages !!! There has got to be more than $100 million for us. I am absolutely sure of this.

I don't know why this particular news release was written this way. But I'll tell you this; at the end of Q2, watch the order backlog change drastically. If its changed to $7.7 billion, that will be our confirmation!

On another note. You should all read todays Globe and Mail. There is 2 articles where CGI is mentioned.

First article. CGI will now be part of the TSE100 index.

Second article. A review of yesterday's NR but also includes a comment from a stock broker who's name is not revealed, saying that the acquisition is only a day or two away from being a DONE DEAL !!!

I wonder where he got this information. If it's true. This should be big people !!!

Stay tuned !

Take a laxative up the other end.

BM

First of all, professor BM before you accuse anyone of comments they didn't make, I suggest you, Sir/Ms, get your darn facts straight. Read the posts properly.

When something is written in italic that usually means that I'm quoting someone else. In this case I was quoting THE COZ in order to reply to his post:

Post #1034, The Coz writes:
$100 MM / year contract over 10 years. And the stock moves $0.15?????

What the .... is going on ????

Secondly, The Coz is referring to the following article which you can find on most sources (eg. Yahoo.com)

The ten-year agreement is expected to generate revenue in the order of CDN$100 million for CGI in the first 12 months, as Bell Mobility initiates the development of a new billing and customer care system and completes its Year 2000 readiness work. Annual revenue in subsequent years will be dependent on Bell Mobility's growth and specific future requirements. Bell Mobility expects to realize significant cost savings over the life of the partnership.

Finally, I now understand why this thread is dead with only 1000 posts in 2 1/2 years. With the arrogance and intolerance displayed by some, whose names I won't mention, it makes it difficult to exchange opinions.
