Broadcast.com (BCST) Chief Executive Todd Wagner plans to sign up a number of major record companies and movie studios to bolster the company's 65,000 hours of on-demand audio-visual program. Broadcast.com bills itself as a portal for multi-media content on the Web. The company trades at 60-times this year's sales, compared to Yahoo! at 85-times sales. Additionally, Wagner, speaking at the Utah gathering, said he believes the audio-visual player will eventually become a browser for accessing the Internet as more companies use multi-media instead of text.
