Sun Microsystems Inc. in Discussions to Increase Its Stake in OpenTV

(any one familiar with OpenTV and are they a direct competitor of ACTV?)

PALO ALTO, Calif., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SUNW -
news)announced today it is in discussions with Myriad International Holdings (MIH) regarding a potential
increase of Sun's equity stake in OpenTV, Inc., a leader in interactive television software for digital television
receivers. The deal is subject to agreement on valuation and terms.

Sun has always supported OpenTV's strategy of developing open, robust and scalable interactive television
software solutions for the digital set-top box marketplace based on a TV-centric model.
