Lynn: +++++++OT+++++++++++ Thanks Lynn. I was surprised I mention my loss but there you are, its very much on my mind. I'm glad you found a lot about the evacuees. Recently, had a reunion with my best friend from age about 5/6 years. When trying to figure out how we did not know each other before that age, because we were neighbours, he told me that he had been an evacuee. Actually, one heard so many good stories about it that I alway felt deprived that I hadn't been one. Some from my area went to live in Wordsworth's and Beatrix Potter's backyard - the Lake District, which is a very beautiful place. They had a privileged war.
