MUEI sells primarily to performance/status conscious consumers. That market might see a modicum of difficulty for awhile.

<The problem with MUEI is they can't use that excuse well as they mostly
ship to consumers. They have some corporate clients and some major Govt.
contracts, but they are basically a consumer flogger>

MB, yeah, I knew that. 'cept there were rumors of a family in the midwest who was gonna buy two computers, but decided to hold off and wait for the under $1K PIIIs. <g>

To All, A great story on ZD net if you can find it. I got it off Prodigy and couldn't find the original on ZD for whatever reason. Anyway, the title is "Are PC Sales Slowing Down?" by Gary McWilliams at 10:35 this morning.

IDC says "sorry guys, the party's over." And, "it's possible the revenue peak is already behind us." Duh! <g>

Year to year, small business box buys dropped 8% in Jan. Gateway said Jan was strong but Feb looks weak.

Don Young of Paineless Webber says that "demand this quarter is running at half the 17% unit increase he had expected."

Don't you love it when a plan comes together? <g>
