Things are really starting to stir: Mar 3, 1999 10:50 ET Alcatel , Dialogic join forces LOS ANGELES, March 3 (Reuters) - French telecommunications company Alcatel and Dialogic Corp. said Wednesday they would jointly develop a new technology platform that weaves together a company's telephone, computer and Internet functions through one system. Alcatel will offer the so-called standards-based convergence hardware and software platform to business clients later this year. The platform is designed to be cost-effective for small-to-medium-sized companies. A server is a large computer that links computer networks together. Under the alliance between the two companies, Alcatel will work with Dialogic to develop key elements of the Dialogic CT Server hardware architecture and CT Media resource management software to use in the server.
