Please don't yell at me, X. I suspect that very few of us could possibly follow the prescriptions of the Gospels wholly. Having said this, I should point out that there are other reasons besides amassing wealth for trying to gain it. People use money to support their families, to pay their children's schooling bills, to give to charities and various worthy causes (my uncle and I tithe, for example), and the like.
