Right. When the board meets tomorrow from 9 A.M for five hours market will get very testily and price may approach $ 17, then anything can happen. A massive selloff if they turn it down outright. A price increase if they counter with a number like $ 27 (with a hope to meet in the middle about $ 22!). All depends on what the board thinks VLSI is worth and the value this buyout may add to it. Once taken over by Philips lot of board members and management may have to look for other avenues outside VLSI. They know that - that is why they will be careful and watch out for their own - not for small time stockholders like you and me!
