Food for thought:
QNTM Storage Division-166 mil shares at perhaps $16 per share equals 2.6 bil market
cap
Exabyte-22 mil shares at $5 per share equals $110 market cap or only 4% of DLT and
only 43% of sales.
Exabytes Mammoth II has superior specs to Super DLT and requires only evolution
from Mammoth vs 4 major new technologies for Super DLT. EXBT claims to be right
on schedule.
Exabyte has a library business with a variety of supposedly high quality products which
should take off if Mammoth II does.
They just announced a low cost Mammoth with claimed best in class performance.
I suspect that at one 25th the value of DLT, we may be overlooking a real gem. If
Mammoth II is on time and Super DLT is not, we could really see the tables turn
quickly. Anyone been following this?
