Susie,
I could be totally wrong but the way I read Mr. Gayle's statement relates to what NASCAR does. For example, I was part-owner in a manufacturing firm about 1/2 mile from the Bristol International Speedway. We manufactured wheels and hubs for a wide range of buyers. Two times a year the "good ole boys" came to town. About twenty five years ago the track held about twenty thousand. Now it holds over 120 thousand for the Winston Cup race.
Anybody who is anybody now wants to be a part of Winston Cup. Why?
Not only for the races but now primarily for the marketing impact that is brought by high-powered advertisers like Anheiser Busch. There are giants in manufacturing, food products, automobiles, etc. etc. etc. that flock to the "Cup" races, as you no doubt already know. I read his comments to mean "giant advertisers" who will help him to sell his ultrasound-based measuring equipment to many different markets. The Corps of Engineers has many employees who love Winston Cup. Many manufacturers of rotating machinery love the races.
In summary, I read his comments to mean that the NASCAR partnership gives Microphonics EXPOSURE.
