March 29. I am marking it on my calendar. I will be in Baton Rouge, probably at my dad's house, it's Spring Break and I promised I'd bring the kids. I'll be sure to light candles for you. Good to hear about the brainiac. Is he (for some reason I assume "he") good with his hands?

I'll probably be pigging out on crawfish, too, looking forward to them. Belle River crawfish, should be just about the perfect size. I want someone to throw me a crawfish boil, but since my Dad's wife is so sick, and my sister is now a vegetarian, I don't think I'll get one. They use humongous pots, and boil sacksful of crawfish with plenty of seasoning in the water, and throw in onions, red potatoes and corn on the cob, and then drain it and pour the food in mounds on picnic tables spread with newspapers. The kids won't eat crawfish, and I guess there is no point in a crawfish boil for one.

We had some visitors from Denmark once, they were so amazed, they were taking pictures to show back home. They eat crawfish in Denmark, too, but a dozen at a time, they use little surgical kits to open up the tiny legs so they don't miss any meat.

<<It's gray and wet right now, and gray means no chance to dry out.>>

I did my basic at Ft. Leonard Wood Mo. in the winter. A week was 3 days of snow, 3 days of rain and damned if it wasn't cloudy on the 7th day.

Good luck with your hip surgery. I know two people who have had good luck with knee replacement. I have seen a replacement hip joint. They guy who had it said it was defective and wasn't used because the ball was too rough. It was as smooth as your screen, well my screen anyway. You may have a gunky screen. What I mean is, there is some real quality control there. I know they have been replacing hips for at least 30 years.

I had one of my dogs hips replaced and all has gone well for 12 years. It's easier with people than dogs. If your doc turns out to be a boozer call me, I know a good vet.
