Mark, If a bright, intelligent, talented, spiritual women is married to a man who is less talented in those areas(maybe moe in others)and she has a desire and the ability to be a better family leader than her mate, she should be the leader, IMO. I am not sure what you are saying here. Narrow your scope. Are you talking if a man is somehow handicapped?(physically or mentally) If so then it is a whole different conversation. IF you are just talking cause a man lets his own spirituality lag then it is IMO to his shame, and he needs to repent.(BTW I know several married women who are the spiritual "heads" of their homes and they wish it was not so, believe me!) Speaking of spiritual heads, what would the following mean to you IF you took it at face value? :: Acts 4: 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. IF you truly believed that Jesus is the HEAD, what then? What does that imply? Maybe a reason for all things? And I will not(by slanted speech) deny that Paul says in several places that man is head over his family in the same way that Christ is head over the church, as God is Head of ALL. That does not make it easy when some scum dog of a man decides to use that as a whip on his family. I realize that. BUT IMO when the scriptures say that Christians will be persecuted, this is included. NOT THAT IT SHOULD be that way, but that it IS that way for some Christian women. Again to the shame of the men, and IF I saw it I would be there to see why. (I have done this several times) There are many women who are more than competent to be spiritual leaders. Many women who are more talented in this arena than their hubands. I do not expect that you would agree with this but as I said , this is to the mans shame, and he should repent. Whether the "world" likes it or not, God has called man to be the leader of the home. Now I know at this point you want me to say WHY I think that is so, but I can not take God's place with such an answer, ask God yourself. The question comes down to this. Why shouldn't a women who is capable, talented, and has the desire, be able to be the spiritual head of their household YOU play advocate and answer that for me. Also you did not answer me about your own position. Are you second class... because I would almost bet you that you are "sub-serviant" to someone. dan
