Secure Clock, Mathematical Signature The Authentidate Image Marking Technology employs a secure clock, which cannot be changed by end users or even trained service technicians, to stamp the date and time into each image captured and filed by the imaging system. It also produces a mathematical signature of each image to provide ironclad documentation of its original content. This combination virtually eliminates any possibility of alteration without detection, delivering a higher level of protection than even the most secure storage methods currently used, such as WORM media.
