If these two can agree, Oil will move up!.."FOCUS-Iran's Kharrazi holds talks in Saudi Arabia

(Updates with Kharrazi meeting King Fahd)
RIYADH, March 2 (Reuters) - Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi met Saudi Arabia's King Fahd and other senior officials on Tuesday, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

SPA did not give details of the talks, although officials earlier said Kharrazi was expected to discuss weak oil prices and a forthcoming visit to the kingdom by Iran's President Mohammad Khatami.

Saudi Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi was present during an earlier meeting of Kharrazi with Crown Prince Abdullah, it added. There was no mention of direct talks with the oil minister.

Kharrazi, on his second visit to the kingdom since November, also held a separate meeting with his Saudi counterpart Prince Saudi al-Faisal and discussed bilateral issues, SPA said.

Earlier, an Iranian official told Reuters: "He will probably not get into too many oil details. The discussion would be generally about weak prices and how to work to shore them up."

"He will discuss many regional issues like Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East issue. He will also discuss how to further develop bilateral relations," he said.

Relations between the two regional powers, often tense since Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution, have improved considerably since Khatami's election in 1997 and his stated policy of better cooperation with Arab neighbours.

Iran's ambassador to Riyadh told Reuters no firm date had been set for Khatami's visit.

Oil traders are closely watching for news of Khatami's arrival date in Saudi Arabia, where he is expected to discuss the sensitive issue of the baseline from which Iran cuts its oil output under a pact by members of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) designed to rescue flagging prices.

Saudi Arabia and Iran are OPEC's largest exporters."

Mike,

I do not see further decline in the OSX with crude having established an up trend, India announcing a surge in imports this year and next, and the meeting only 3 weeks away.
