Alan,

Not to split hairs, but it's not a 1.6GHz device. The clock runs at 400Mhz. As long as there's only one transition on the data and address busses between rising and falling edges of the clock, there would also only be a max of 400Mhz on those lines as well (though I'm not sure that that's how they work).

All I can tell you is if you were a PC guy, would you bet that this is only a 3 month slip, would you risk that your competitors are going to jump to Via's/and others pc133 chip set or take the risk of another slip. I know what I would do/
