re: "structural change in PC industry"

Do you mean the same old declining ASP issue etc.? Because we have seen mini-slowdowns in the PC biz before, specifically 1997 and nothing much happened although there were plenty of analysts dumping on Dell at the time. As far as the health of the PC biz, broadband access seems like it will at least provide a boost - we never had anything like that in prior years so whats the worry? (other than excessive valuations)

Sonny -- give me a break on the 'must be something in computers' thing. Box makers have been standing on buildings and flashing big signs for some time now -- and most people realized in the last few weeks that INTC was in trouble here. This is just some jitters-- ie. how the hell are we supposed to get past Friday with our skins on when everybody knows that tech sucks and bond yields are close to the point where there is real damage while popular valuation models are screaming 'crash'. What I am saying is, with a little damage, I think we have a few more days after a relief rally on Friday before stocks are gutted for real.
