Lastshadow,
Thanks for the advice. The stock I had this experience with was SUNW on Monday. I went long, got stopped out and then watched it go up and up a little while later. Today it was DELL. I went short at 11:15, then got stopped out and of course watched it tank in the afternoon.

Oddly enough, I have only experienced this problem with the large, heavily traded stocks. I usually do pretty well with the cheaper, less heavily traded stocks, although they have to have at least 1 mil. in volume for me to play them. I am guessing this may be because momentum on smaller stocks is easier to spot, and less likely to be manipulated by the likes of Goldman and friends. This is just a guess.

I will definitely watch the trade size more carefully as you suggested. Can you point me to where I can get the gap history for a stock? Thanks, Lastshadow, for writing those gap strategies. You don't know how much learning to play gaps has helped me evolve as a trader.

Regards,
Tara
