CSFB Notes Increased Efficiency at IBM Credit Suisse First Boston said it reiterated IBM's buy rating. Reiterated $230 12-month target price. IBM's competitive position has strengthened with its improved distribution model and focus on cost of ownership solutions. IBM's direct business has improved quickly. New manufacturing processes and improved distribution have cut cycle times by five times, labor requirements by 20 percent and improved inventory turns by six times over the past year.
