Don't be so despondent. In a week or two this will be forgotten as the market rallies upward.

Regards,

GM,

Two of my three "advisors" say there is too much money on the sidelines this time of year for the market to go down much farther.

Perhaps May/June may be the tank.. major inflows from retirement vehicles should slow by then. This will coincide with Q2 earnings releases and projections. Advisors still predict record markets by YE.

Greg, I share your frustration here, but, upon reflection, we should have seen this coming after the unreal January and end of the year..

Look, Dell is ALWAYS WEAK the 1st half of the earnings period (as long as I've been following it)...remember 2 weeks ago? (Day after earnings announcement?)...Dell bounced down to 76....today, it has closed, what (I haven't seen the final) 78 and change...so...at least we haven't lost ground since the earning(s) disappoint...

All big-caps techs have been weak here...Dell is not (really) getting singled out here...

We may have a bit more nervousness over the next 2/3 weeks...but this really is getting overdone...Dell going thru the 70's here pretty slow....I think it would need a massive downdraft to blast thru 75-76...tomorrow should help stem the tide...

Hey, an awful lot of money managers took money off the table last month...lot of cash out there...

Psychologically, we need a little more time here for the bears to shoot their negative wad....The fact that Micron had the effect it did speaks volume for the psychologically here...

It would be nice, of course, if some tech cos. could come out with some positive statements, but, absent of that, it looks like we will have to be satisfied with Drew's news that Intel has not warned, and does not plan to (as of now)....and wait 'til we get closer to earnings..

Hey, the transports were up today...That's good news for technicians...also..

It would be a joke if 3Com affects the techs tomorrow, given 3Com;s track record...

I think the capitulation scenario, although I partially agree that is may be necessary (one-day), is a trap that the big guys love to set for the little guys....

Somewhere, Chuzz is out there saying we are wasting our time <g>
