Shalom,
IMO, you are making huge leaps in logic. you are making assumptions that are not necessarily so.

<<This is just one of many doctrines that the secular world uses as unreasonable leverage against Christianity.>>

The concept of pursuing ones dreams or abilities is not unreasonable.
Being pigeonholed into certain "jobs" and "responsibilities" regardless of your abilities and talents based solely on gender is a not an unreasonable issue.

<<I for one Mark, understand very well, that if that is not good enough for whoever, then it is because they just care not understand who Christ really is, and what it really means to be a Christian>>

Again, Shalom, that is not true. Just because someone has questions and wants answers they can understand, does not mean they dont want to know who Christ is, or have no connection to God.

<<Millions of people have gone to their death proclaiming the name of Christ, and it is not a difficult guess to say that many more will>>

The same can be said of any religion on earth today.

<<Basic rights Mark?
he right to rule the roost...smile...what is so basic about that.>>

Again, you have missed the point. It IS a basic right to be able to lead your own family in spiritual matters if all members of that family think it is in their best interests. It IS chauvinistic to be denied tht solely on the basis of gender.

<<God does not deny anybody any human basic rights.!>>

Then God would not be against a women leading her household in spiritual matters solely on the basis of gender,IMO.

<<Husbands are commanded to love their wives as Christ loved the church. And if all husbands loved their wives as Christ loves the church, women all over the world, and from all walks of life, would be flocking to those men, and I dare say, divorce would be a Dinosaur!>>

Again, a leap of logic that is not necessarily true. It is very important for many people(both male and female) to be able to express themselves vocally, spiritually, and creatively, as they wish to. To be able to express themselves without being forced into a secondary compliant manner.

<<I KNOW that it keeps many women from believing in literal translation, and keeps some from christianity as a whole.

If you really do believe this is the reason that keeps some from coming to Christ and his love, then I have a bridge to sell you.!>>

Again, this is true, and has been expresed to me by more than a few women. Many of them from Christian families of origin. Being forced into a role that is contrary to peoples talents and desires for no toehr reason than your gender is a concept that many people find archaic.

<<You see Mark, when it is all added up it really has little or nothing to do with "wives submit to your husbands", It has everything to do with; "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever should believe Him will not perish, but have eternal Life">>

Again that is a leap of logic that is faulty. If you believe in literal translation, and ask a non-believing women to do so, than it has much to do with "wives submit to your husbands".

Mark
