Tech CFO, can you expand on that statement? What lifestyle issues?

Perhaps I'm out of touch, but wouldn't the position of CEO of HP attract people at a slightly lower $$$? The potential to turn the company around and make millions on the stock would be a draw for me.

Wasn't he already with HP at some point before going to Novell? Also, I don't think he would be good, based on his record at Novell.

HP needs someone like Michael Armstrong of AT&T or Gerstner of IBM, who can really shake things up. Can they get someone from Microsoft, say Brad Silverberg or Jim Allchin?
