barber: Yes, I saw that. CNBC did a spot today (with CPQ as the star, of course <g>) about how companies disclose info. It was suggested that "events" surrounding the now infamous "warning leak" amounts to insider trading, because Kwatinetz acted on the info before it became public. The SEC's guidelines apparently aren't very strict - they did say that if a company has info that could "materially effect" the outlook for earnings/revenue/stock price, that it must be done in a public press release. That, of course, is probably why CPQ keeps saying that it didn't think that this info was "material."
