Not really, except in a macro sense.

Usually two things happen.

Either, something becomes a huge market but the cost of entry is low and margins get to be pretty low, examples are the memory biz.

Or, there becomes a Gorilla player, that leverges IP,process,foundry,marketing and builds a huge barrier to entry and wins in a major way. Obvious example here is Intel in CPU's.

My sense is that Intel is unlikely to become a gorilla in this new SOC market. To win you need/acquire: wireless,rf, CPU, DRAM, IP, ASIC,Flash, EDA capabilities.
