Drew: There seems to be a little tension over on the Compaq thread. I don't post there but I was surfing through and I discovered this:

<<My opinion is that EP or someone has to go. There is no excuse for a 40% correction. Get a CEO & CFO who can better represent this company with the street. This silent treatment is a joke. Of course, I'm also currently under water so I have a incentive for this post. :-) >>

The tone of that CPQ SI board is VERY different than ours. It's like a ship without a rudder --- and the passengers have VERY LITTLE confidence in the management team's ability to regain control (I can understand why )...

Yet, with DELL, many of us still have TEMENDOUS FAITH in Michael and his team's ability to execute. IMHO, when DELL successfully rides out this storm, it will be in better shape than it has ever been in. It all has to do with the best talent, a superior business model, great growth initiatives, and a track record that has become legendary.

I look forward to Michael's announcement tomorrow as well our upcoming split.

DELL WILL RISE AGAIN..!!!!

Regards,

Scott
