Another blow out quarter could be in the works, considering that
this whole y2K thing is a boon for software and bust for hardware

Do you have any idea about hostile take over ? Two months ago bought some VLSI shares, and last Friday read the news that Philips will offer $17 to buy out VLSI, and today another new said Philips will offer a hostile take over to buy out VLSI. I do not know what is going on . Any idea about the hostile take over? Does it mean if I, as a share holder, have to sell my shares to Philips at whatever price they offer ? or I have the right to decide not to sell my shares unless the offer hit a certain price level ? say $30.
