Bertrand,

Together we stand divided we fall! It was a team effort. If no one asks the question then you can't expect an answer. I put together the following chronology. I will give Lebo credit for asking the question first and think if any of us actually make it to Kuala Lampur you could entice us to a free dinner. I look forward to the challange of picking the next target.

I'm With Mike K on Dialogic and agree with Gene W. I hear good things about Netwave. Keep the suggestions and especially the analysis of candidates coming.

Regards,

Milkman

#215 Lebo asks:

"My question to the experts:
Would data-networking cos be the answer (XYLN, FORE, NN)"

#337 Steve Fancy posts:

PARIS -(Dow Jones)- In an effort to expand its global reach, French
telecommunications-equipment maker Alcatel SA Thursday said it is
talking with several small to midsize U.S. companies about possible
acquisitions.

#339 Steve Becker Brings up: WSTL & WAXS as possibilities

#341 Mike K brings us the following suggestions:

"Interesting article from WSJ posted on the PairGain thread (PAIR). Mentions Inter-Tel (INTL), Dialogic (DLGC) and ADC Telcom.(ADCT) as potential targets for a large player . Then there is PAIR which has been rumored as well."

#343 Tom Brush Added CIEN to the pot.

#344 Steve Fans the fire on CIEN.

#345 I discount CIEN as a candidate and provide the following info.

"I put my vote on XYLN solid data company making a profit, somewhat beaten down and undervalued. With a market cap under 900mil. With ALA already having a small percentage stake it looks like a bargain and a good compliment to their current offerings."
