Roughly flat usage trends during January following a seasonally strong December reflect
Amazon's increasing presence as a true on-line shopping portal.

Strong January traffic provides us with further indication that the company is on track to
at least achieve our Q1 sales estimate of $260.0 million which assumes modest 2.8%
sequential growth.

I wonder how long Keith Benjamin has had to determine this trend in January for ecommerce. Ten years. Maybe 7 or 5. How about 3 or two. The point is that e-commerce is growing not AMZN alone. Many people received computers for the holiday season and firt went online in Jan 99. Many may visit a site but not buy. One cannot possible make an intelligent comment on a trend that has no history from which to compare. This cooment was hype plain and simple. These "simple analysts" are starting to really annoy me. They are making millions.

I was wondering at what TIME it was released---

Was it after the market closed today, in an attempt to restore the stocks upward momentum, or was it while AMZN was doing its 11 point drop today?

Does anybody know the answer?

Thanks,
Tom D
