Ok, even if you get the cheap model that lasts only 15 years, wouldn't you like 15 years of extra mobility? In 15 years they will have a very good replacement or you will be dead. I'd say... go for it dude. March 29th you will have a gazillion SI ers praying for you.

You know, it sounds like what I have. I mean, doesn't it? The defense cells attacking, and all. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha, and other cytokines too numerous to mention, a "cascade" of defensive cytokines, is the way they put it. Hey, I'm there, dude. As they say. Why wouldn't the fancy-schmancy drugs they are working on for organ transplants work? Michael D. Burke's mother has had a kidney and liver transplant, and is taking some fancy-schmancy drug that is better than prednisone for organ rejection. He PM'd me that it costs more than a Porsche but it's worth it. Heck, I don't know, but I do know that this is part of the cutting edge of biomed these days. I wouldn't resign myself to fifteen years, not that fifteen years is anything to sneeze at.
