Interesting that the article cited by SJS is from CBS Marketwatch, which IPOed itself not too long ago and opened its first day at 56, shot up to 130 and now nestles at 62 1/2. The first tier investors made out like bandits while the chumps in steerage (90-130 buyers) will have to wait for Marketwatch to actually produce profits before they recover their value. Thing about CMGI is that they actually have a plan that puts the company into profit-making mode fairly early in the genesis of the Internet Boom. Wetherell is already looking down the road to the point where P/Es become relevant to the pricing of Inets. And he plans for CMGI to be there firstest with the mostest.
