Claud B, This morning, the market was showing a fair amount of strength but was negated later. Most of my technicals have gone negative at the close. Lots of moving average crossovers and MACD made "lower highs" today, which is bad. There are "bearish engulfing line" candlestick patterns in the SOX and NASDAQ as of today. It can only get worse. I hate to bring this up but, today was a full moon which is theoretically the worst day in the cycle to be short and a selloff typically follows within three days. I do not believe in astrology, quite the contrary. But the coincidence of gravitational interaction is strikingly accurate. Just the same, I'm staying off the long side for a couple of days and may buy a extreme sell-off. Just my opinion... Chris

Claude, I agree the technicals are horrible here and this chart would have you believe that the Jan top in the nyse and dow are it. decisionpoint.com however my read is on the nasdaq, which may have a chance for one more high while the Dow & S&P are churning some more. I also saw a composite chart of the Asian "Tigers" on TV, it had a h&s topp in 94 and their is a very clear ewave pattern that reads the bounce from October as corrective 4 and Asia is now most likely entering the final leg down of their bear.
