OT Hello gang. I've been couped up here in Las Vegas working for 5 days and only twice gotten to a computer. Talk about missing a habit. I realize now investing in the Q has quenched any thirst I may have had for gaming here.

I guess I'll have to wait two days to hear if the trial delayhelps or hurts & who.

Tony

Our phones (amazingly enough) are about ten years old, and back then (pre-Internet), there would never be a situation where a telephone manufacturer would assume a phone line (and the LED) would be "on" for a huge portion of each day.

I am pretty sure there is no way to hook up an A/C adapter to our phone.

The only phones that I was ever aware had household current going into them were -- the old "princess" phones.

(It is possible "younger" readers will have no idea what a princess phone is (was)).

Jon.

Better explanation than mine, Drew. I Forgot about the REN. When I worked phone systems we were changing over from step-by-step to the newest crossbar system, is any one out there is old enough to remember those mechanical systems? Long b4 the transistor. Go Q' Regards Ken

By the way the company I worked for was Western Electric.

I hate to be picky but telephone line transformers are 28Vdc, lots more than much of the stuff we use that have batteries. Did you mean they don't put much power on the lines?
