OTOT Don, We are off topic, but analysts in general are a mixed bag. They were tripping all over each other to push INTC at 130-145 and CPQ around 45 or so, just doesn't make sense to me. That's why I respect Edelstone, you are suppose to stick your neck out and buy low and then sell high. Most analysts just ride the coattails of the mavericks who stuck their neck out and made the right call early in the cycle. Once it is confirmed, they come out and issue a strong buy on INTC @ $135. Go figure! Where were they when INTC was around $65?! And where are their clients who bought INTC @ $130, or CPQ @ $45!? MileHigh

Analysts and their sponsors have their own agendas in covering -- not covering -- and timing coverage initiation. For example, occasionally I am surprised to find out that a Goldman, MS or ML are initiating coverage of a MSFT, CSCO or INTL. Where have they been up to now?? Oh well, it hasn't hurt those tech companies much. I wouldn't trade (or invest) simply on an analysts oversight. But I guess to each his own. ;) FWIW, I'd worry more about institutional fund coverage. That's where the money is.
