Dear Sidney, no LOL. Although I now have difficulty in believing in the divinity of Christ--before you jump on me, read my previous postings--the most wonderful and worthy of notice even for agnostics supposed aspect of God is the all knowing.

What a joy to think that there might be Someone who knows and understands all of our abortive attempts to be of help to other people; Someone who knows the good in our hearts, however sloppy we may be in living out what is in our hearts; Someone who understands and loves us as a part of creation.

I am not convinced rationally of the existence of such a
Someone (and I do suspect the She is black!), but I do believe in the power of prayer. If there is no one hearing in the fashion that we conceive of God, there may be some link on a very primitive level among us where we can send and receive support. (I am leaving ESP to other people to debate!)

At the very least, our meditating on another person while we pray for that person's welfare can only broaden us.
