That also verifies for that you can write covered
calls in an IRA though so but was not completely sure.

It may be broker dependent. However I have covered calls in my Brown and Co. ira.

I know that is the only options related strategy that can be used in an IRA.

Long speculative options are also allowed in my Brown and Co. Ira. Perhaps you meant "strategy" as complex options positions.
