Eric,
Around $10 per share is kind of a scary price for AFCI. I hope that I am holding on for more than 10 bucks a share..... On the other hand: XYLN is selling for three times revenue. That would put AFCI at $14, not much better. Green indicated that he would hold out for a good price... Some how I do not think he will sell for 10-14 dollars per share. If that is the case we might have a wait?

Eric, Please someone contradict me if I am wrong as I left my telcomm statistical data at work. But CLEC's are gaining an ever larger share of the voice/data transmission market at least in North America, while ILEC's are going sideways in terms of total volume of voice/data transmitted. Something like about 33% CLEC/67% ILEC currently I believe (I'll post actual numbers tomorrow)....

Thus IMO we need to be a bit careful here and not underestimate the value of the CLEC business while we overestimate the value of ILEC's to AFCI.....

2 times sales is obscene for a company with tthe product portfolio such as AFCI. Only Shiva faired so poorly and they have lawsuits to do battle with. Besides their business may have ceased and desisted
before the buyout.

AFC is not that bad off. 4 times sales is much more likely

2x makes AFCI a lot less attractive (from a stock-picking perspective). I agree that this is not the time to speculate, given market conditions.

Nice work,

Nick
