Loving Spouse weighs in:
"Why should we when y'all are doing it all already."
Seriously - she isn't as verbal as I am, and the sort of word games I eat up with a small spoon just don't do it for her.

Yep, that was my ball and chain. She got her degree and became a computer programmer so at the end of the day she much prefers being with her horses to looking at a screen.

penni, you are encouraging enabling behavior by spouses. My theory is that serious onliners will best tend to have mates who secretly think the whole thing is rather silly (although never, never daring to put it in those blatant terms of course), thus exerting a subtle gravitational pull from the offline world.

The thought of two so addicted onliners in a relationship is rather dangerous, potentially resulting, in the worst scenario, in the complete atrophy of the vocal cords, communication consisting in the end of the blinking back and forth of bulletin board posts from two terminals at opposite ends of the house.

Can you believe it? I got a red spelling error on "offline." They need to fix that.
