BBY in '96 vs. CPU

I do see a lot of similarities in BBY and CPU. At the time, the DELL paradigm was at its peak and BBY was having tremendous inventory problems. People thought that the mail order solution would completely take over the industry. BBY responded by narrowing their product focus...streamlining their inventory. The had a killer couple of Christmas seasons and the rest is history. I think CPU has suffered at the hands of a softening industry and the encroachment from Gateway sttores and the announcement of Dell bringing on stores....and of course the Internet!
The low for BBY during 1996 was actually in the 8 1/2 range. I remember buying 10 1/2 calls!
