>>>I don't think you'll catch IBM or
>>>Sony doing any of Xybernaut's R&D

I'm wrong. Apparently, there may be a bunch of cooperative projects between the companies. I found this on the Yahoo thread, which originated at wallstreetreporter.com from a Xybernaut interview:
--------
"We have certain agreements that have to do with Manufacturing and Support. The Sony agreement you mentioned; this has to do with manufacturing a world-class product. Now we may well have other agreements that we haven't spoken on publicly, but certainly we've announced that one and the fruit of that is the Mobile Assistant IV, and it is a world-class product and has that quality label on it. A company like Hewlett Packard -- as I'm saying we have several agreements intact with them."

" IBM, another great company is one of our strategic allies. Xybernaut, once again has a variety of agreements; some of them concern development of products, and others, that we have chosen to emphasize, have to do with the cooperative agreements that we have done in the area of voice recognition, application development and bundling of related technologies together –- a strong partner."

Man, these folks know how to speak in a legally safe manner. I refer to, "Now we may well have other agreements...". Wow.
